Studio Art: Concentration and Breadth

My passion for design started young when I began to gravitate towards studio art in forms like drawing and painting. Studio art is something, that I as a designer consistently circle back to as a creative outlet even though my focus is more in apparel design. I believe all forms of design have very similar roots and I can gain a lot of inspiration in apparel design from things like studio art. Below are some of my favorite works, most of which are from my time in AP Studio Art. My concentration focuses on a series of portraits distorted with varying objects as a parallel to that of societal distortions placed on an individual. My breadth pieces were more creative outlets for me to experiment with different materials and rendering techniques.
